Popular South Korean Pop Star, Kim Hyun Joong visits Manila, Philippines bringing happiness to his Filipino fans. Kim Hyun Joong is the leader of popular boy group, SS501. He is a prominent style icon and has been popular internationally. He has gained popularity with his role as “Ji Hoo” in the popular 2009 drama, “Boys Over Flowers”. He then became even more popular with his role as “Baek Seung Jo” in the drama, “Playful Kiss”. Both dramas have been aired on Philippine TV giving him local exposure that made him acquire the love and support of hundreds of Filipino fans.
Kim Hyun Joong has released his debut album, “Break Down” in different countries like South Korea, Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, and Philippines. “Break Down” consists of six awesome songs and one instrumental version of the title track. He has already released the three music videos for the three songs in his debut album which are: Break Down, Please, and Kiss Kiss. These three songs have been performed live as well. The title track of the album is “Break Down” which is a powerful synthesized song with an urban style that also features stylish rapping by South Korea’s Double K. This song has been produced by Ken Lewis who has worked with artists like Eminem, Kanye West, Usher, and John Legend. Kim Hyun Joong showed a different and more mature image for his song, “Please”. “Kiss Kiss” on the other hand is a pop or dance song accompanied with an acoustic guitar. Two other songs that are featured in his debut album are “Let Me Go (Intro)” and “Yes I Will”.
Kim Hyun Joong involved himself in the album making of his debut album to showcase more of his talent as a solo artist. He has worked with Steven Lee who is the producer of two popular Japanese groups, V6 and KAT-TUN. Kim Hyun Joong has completed his tour in both the U.S. and South Korea. His solo debut album is now available in all record bars in the Philippines. It is exclusively distributed by PolyEast Records in cooperation with KeyEast Entertainment and CJ E&M Korea.
