Members of SS501, such as Kim HyunJoong and Kim KyuJong, are constantly encouraging each other and showing their unchanged friendships.

Even though they are focusing on each of their solo activities after moving to different agencies, it comforts their fans’ heart when they were being known to have met up every now and then.

Recently, Kim HyunJoong was seen together with Kim KyuJong when he went to find him during his practice for musical ‘Goong’. And during Heo YoungSaeng’s solo comeback, Kim HyunJoong and Kim KyuJong both made a surprise visit to his waiting room to support him.

So then in which areas are the SS501 members active in their solo activities? Let’s see one by one.

Park JungMin is the first to make his solo debut among SS501 members. Park JungMin released his first solo single ‘Not Alone’ in January.

This single made it to the top in various famous music charts in Asia in its first week of release, and even in other charts, it was ranked in the top 5 positions.

After this single, Park JungMin released his 2nd album ‘The, Park JungMin’ in April. After the release of ‘Not Alone’, he received lots of love with ‘As much as tears flow...’ which is produced to convey his gratefulness for receiving fans’ love during his Asia fan meeting.

After Park JungMin, Kim HyungJun released his first solo mini album. Kim HyungJun’s title song ‘oH!aH!’ is a song with dramatic development and addictive strong melody.

Kim HyungJun took off his boyish image and through the performance of this song, dressed in luxurious suit and his powerful dance captured everyone’s attention while showing off his matured masculinity. In addition, his steady singing ability also captured attention.

Next is SS501’s Heo YoungSaeng. Gifted with a sexy voice, Heo YoungSaeng received huge popularity when he made his comeback with ‘Let It Go’ in May.

‘Let It Go’ is a song that is melted by delicate Heo YoungSaeng’s voice, and in the performance for this song, he attracted attention with his black suit with smoky eye make up, and dance that can maximize his masculine beauty.

Then next is Kim HyunJoong, who suppressed the music industry with ‘Break Down’.

Kim HyunJoong made an all-kill in various music charts as well as music program ranking just 10 days after his comeback, enjoying tremendous popularity. And he received lots of love with his funny talks through various variety programs and talk shows.

Lastly is Kim KyuJong, who began his challenge in acting when he was casted as the role of Lee Shin in musical ‘Goong’. [News] Kim Of Hearts: Korean Star Kim Hyun Joong Captivates Pinoy Fans

Repost from http://kathysbench.blogspot.com

Armed with talent, flawless looks, and a heart of gold, there's nowhere but up for Korean pop star and heartthrob Kim Hyun Joong, who continues to win hearts the world over. He's famous for being the leader of Korean idol group SS501, but his career (and his universal charm) really skyrocketed after playing the role of Yoon Ji Hoo in the hit K-soap Boys Over Flowers. He also played Baek Seung Jo in his recent drama Playful Kiss, which was also a huge hit.

It's been one year and two months since his Manila fans first swooned over the star in the flesh. (He last visited for a sold-out concert where he raised and donated funds to benefit the Abiertas House of Friendship, a center for unwed pregnant mothers.) To our delight, the 25-year-old hottie graced Manila shores once again lastAugust 25 to promote his first solo mini-album "Break Down." We caught up with him at a press conference at EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, and on the same day, he launched his album via a "High-Five Touch" event at the TriNoma Activity Center in Quezon City.

The album launch was a huge success. Even before the mall opened, kilig fans were lined up outside--waiting to get their copy of "Break Down" and meet the Kim Hyun Joong, of course! The first 500 who purchased the CD even got to exchange high-fives with the cutie!

"Break Down" marks Kim Hyun Joong's comeback to the music scene, this time as a solo artist. The album is a mix of musical genres, from heavy urban dance tracks to strong R&B and even bubble gum pop. For his solo debut, he shed his pretty-boy charm for a more mature, masculine one. He told us he has plans to do an Asia concert tour that will include Manila as a pit stop! We'll be looking forward to that, for sure!

At the press conference, he told his fans, "Thank you for all the love you have toward me. It inspires me to bring up better songs and better performances." Proving to be a huge hit in Asia and beyond, Kim Hyun Joong is shining brighter than ever as an international star.

Launch the gallery to see photos of the gorgeous Kim Hyun Joong from his press conference!

Kim Hyun Joong's solo mini-album "Break Down"  is available in all record bars nationwide, exclusively distributed by PolyEast Records in cooperation with KeyEast Entertainment and CJ E&M Korea.

[News] Where are the ‘Boys Over Flowers’ stars now?

Boys Over Flowers cast (Publicity photo)

"Boys Over Flowers," the Korean drama remake of 'Meteor Garden', was a very successful K-drama that had a huge following among Filipino drama fanatics. It is not a secret that "Boys Over Flowers" was a launching pad for many of its main cast including now-Hallyu stars Lee Min Ho and Kim Hyun Joong. Kim Hyun Joong's recent Manila visit inspired me to check where the other stars of "Boys Over Flowers" are now. Here's the result of my investigation.

Ku Hye Sun (Sports Korea)

Ku Hye Sun or "Geum Jan Di"

Ku Hye Sun or Goo Hye Sun played the much-loved feisty girl "Geum Jan Di" who won the heart of the wealthy chaebol "Gu Jun Pyo". If there is one girl who fits the tags "beauty and brains" and "overachiever", it is Ku Hye Sun. She is not just an able actress but is also an accomplished singer, composer, pianist, artist, author, and film director. After "Boys Over Flowers", Ku Hye Sun has released an instrumental album entitled "Breath", written a bestseller entitled "Tango", and debuted as a director of the short film "The Madonna". Her latest drama projects include the Taiwanese remake of the much-loved Japanese drama "Absolute Boyfriend" where she plays the lead role of "Lu Xiao Fei." Her upcoming Korean drama projects include "The Musical" and "Fly Again" both for the SBS network.

Lee Min Ho or "Gu Jun Pyo"

Lee Min Ho (Sports Korea)

Lee Min Ho played the iconic role of "Gu Jun Pyo," the chaebol heir who fell in love with "Geum Jan Di" in "Boys Over Flowers". Lee Min Ho, now considered a Hallyu star, has successfully pushed his drama career forward after "Boys Over Flowers". The actor is currently one of the highest paid actors and product endorsers in Korea. After BOF, Lee Min Ho completed the romance drama "Perfect Match" or "Personal Preference" in 2010. In this drama, Lee Min Ho went against type and played a character falsely mistaken for a gay man. Lee Min Ho is currently enjoying the fruits of the success of his recently concluded action drama "City Hunter" based on the legendary Japanese manga by Tsukasa Hojo. Many of Lee Min Ho's fans were surprised as one of the biggest Korean showbiz stories last month was the confirmed report that the handsome actor is dating his "City Hunter" co-star Park Min Young ("Sungkyunkwan Scandal"). Lee Min Ho is currently completing yet another endorsement project with Girls Generation's Yoona for a French outdoor apparel brand Eider.

Kim Hyun Joong or "Yoon Ji Hoo"

Kim Hyun Joong (Sports Korea)
Kim Hyun Joong, who played the unrequited lover "Yoon Ji Hoo," has also elevated his status from supporting cast to main cast. After "Boys Over Flowers," Kim Hyun Joong has conquered possibly all areas of the entertainment business including acting, singing and modeling. An undisputed Hallyu star, Kim Hyun Joong headlined the drama and Internet sensation "Playful Kiss" in 2010. He also completed two mini-albums with his idol group SS501 entitled "Rebirth" and "Destination". The star recently concluded an Asia-wide promotional tour including a Philippine stop for his first solo album "Break Down"  and as the official spokesperson for Korean beauty brand "The Face Shop". Kim Hyun Joong expressed that his next projects include a new album due for release this October and an Asia-wide concert tour.

Kim Beom or "So Yi Jeong"

Kim Beom (Sports Korea)
The cute actor Kim Beom or Kim Bum portrayed the role of playboy Casanova "So Yi Jeong" in "Boys Over Flowers". The baby-faced actor is also known among Filipino fans as the partner of Maja Salvador in a local RC cola commercial in 2009. Similar to his "Boys Over Flowers" co-stars, Kim Beom was also active in the modeling scene. After "Boys Over Flowers," the actor signed many endorsement deals. He appeared as a model for Andre Kim and was even hailed as the "Korean Ken" in the 2010 Barbie and Ken Awards. Kim Beom also appeared in various fashion magazine spreads for Elle Girl Korea. As an actor, Kim Beom completed a less-than-successful drama entitled "Dream" in 2009. In 2010, he participated as a supporting cast in the "The Woman Who Still Wants to Marry". According to his official Facebook page (which has more than 3.5 million fans, by the way), his next drama project is a Korean drama entitled "Padam Padam".

Kim Joon or "Song Woo Bin"

Kim Joon (Sports Korea)
Kim Joon played the role of gangster's son "Song Woo Bin" in "Boys Over Flowers". Aside from his acting assignment, Kim Joon was also very active in producing the music of "Boys Over Flowers" as part of the Korean boyband "T-Max" which contributed several tracks in the official soundtrack including "Paradise", "Say Yes", "Wish Ur My Love", "Fight the Bad Feeling," and "Bang Bang Boom". After "Boys Over Flowers", Kim Joon was very busy with his music career. He released a solo single entitled "Jun Be O.K." featuring Kim Hyun Joong. Aside from his solo activities, his boyband, T-Max, also completed and released an album entitled "Born To The Max". Kim Joon also started graduate school early this year. Unfortunately for Kim Joon fans, the most recent report of his activities point to his impending military enlistment
