Holding his second exclusive concert in Japan this year, Kim Hyung Jun’s Kim Hyung Jun 2012 2nd Story in Japan took place on August 3 at Zepp Tokyo.

The concert day was all the more special as it was held on Kim Hyung Jun′s birthday as the 1,500 concert attendees set off firecrackers while the concert’s staff brought out a surprise birthday cake for the singer.

In addition to his birthday celebration, Kim Hyung Jun performed a medley of his hits including his new album’s title song Sorry I’m Sorry, for a total of 19 songs.

Kim Hyung Jun also demonstrated his Japanese language skills at the concert as he oversaw the concert’s flow without the use of an MC in fluent Japanese.

Friend Komoto Junichi of the comedy duo Jicho Kacho came with his family and a birthday gift. The two first met when Kim Hyung Jun appeared on a program on which Komoto Junichi MCed, and the two quickly hit it off and became friends.

After successfully kicking off his concert tour at Zepp Tokyo, he held another successful concert in Tokyo on August 4 and will move on through Fukuoka, Osaka, Nagoya and Sapporo on his Zepp tour for a total of nine concerts until August 25.

In between his concerts, a string of appearances on a variety of Japanese television and radio shows are scheduled for the singer.

Kim Hyung Jun’s new Japanese album Escape will drop on August 8.
