Soundtrack of SBS Plus' TV series "Late Blossom," featuring the show's actor Kim Hyung-jun has been set to roll out in Japan next month, an official from the broadcaster told 10Asia this afternoon.
The packaged version of "Late Blossom" soundtrack, in which includes two songs sang by the artist and still shots of the drama, will first hit stores in Korea on Tuesday and be released in Japan early June.
The eight-track album, which was already revealed through local music distrubution websites last Friday, also features songstress Taru, Island Guitar, indie duo Rooftop Moonlight, Jin Ah and Lee Young-hoon.
"Late Blossom" is an adaptation of cartoonist Kangfull's work of the same name, which was remade as a movie in February last year with the main character played by veteran actor Lee Soon-jae.
Helmed by director Choo Chang-min, the film had attracted over 1,645,505 movie goers during its premiere in local theaters.
In addition, the movie was invited to several film festivals including Jeonju International Film Festival (JIFF) and Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) while Lee received the best actor award at the 2011 Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Festival in China.
Kim made his debut as the youngest member of the popular boy band SS501 in 2005. This will be his second acting role after starring in cable channel KBS-N's "She's Completely Insane!" (translated title).
