Hallyu idol Kim Hyun Joong is set to come to Shenzhen to help out the Four Heavenly Queens Elva Hsiao, Shirley Kwan, Fish Leong and Sammi Cheng’s PERFECT Concert on the evening of Sept 16 in the Spring Cocoon’s Shenzhen Bay Stadium, where there’ll be a grand DISCO-styled dance party on stage, and he will be appearing with his new blonde looks.

Hallyu King Kim Hyun Joong’s ‘surprising’ strong addition to the concert is the crowning touch of the event. As the superstar of the Asia entertainment industry today with bursting popularity, Kim Hyun Joong, through his roles in the Korean dramas Boys Over Flowers and Playful Kiss, rose to fame with his outstanding acting and handsome appearance; he is also the leader of popular Korean idol group, SS501, and has recently released his first solo mini album Break Down. After completing the round of promotions inside Korea, Kim Hyun Joong will fully attack the Asian market (and) China is an important stop in his series of activities.
This time’s “Diamond Express Wall Drill Perfect Concert” is to be at the Spring Cocoons Shenzhen Bay Stadium, where the Universiade was last held, and Kim Hyun Joong is particularly looking forward to it.
He had also watched the Universiade when he was in Korea and having caught part of the opening ceremony, said that even through the television screen, he could feel the warmth (read: enthusiasm) of the Chinese audience, and he was looking forward to interacting with Chinese audience on arriving at the Spring Cocoon:
“In the World University Games, through TV, I could feel the warmth of the Chinese audience; I am very much looking forward to be in Shenzhen Bay Stadium’s performance on Sept 16, as for which specific songs, I will make the final decision after communicating with the Chinese fans.”

It was reported that Kim Hyun Joong’s visit to perform in Shenzhen this time received support from his Chinese fans. Concert ticket started selling on Aug 29 but the news from the ticketing office last week was: His fans had already pre-booked tickets totaling about 1,000,000 yuan very early on, and this caused the organisers to exlaim in surprise (as they) didn’t expect that this beautiful Hallyu man would have such a strong group of fans in China.
This time, Kim Hyun Joong will bring his own sound experts, lighting experts, dancers, stage designers and so on, a huge line-up; there will also be a breakthrough in his style (image), to complement the newly released album, Break Down, with a head of blonde hair to show his transformation.
“This is my first solo album, (it) depicts the growing-up process of a 26-year-old man.”
In the MV, he appeared clad in black leather as he danced, revealing a perfectly cool side (of him), “I want to let everybody see a more exciting performance.”
Kim Hyun Joong’s blonde looks is especially eye-catching and he explained that, “This is because of the recent promotion of the album track Kiss Kiss on television; it looks tougher than previously, cuter.”

MANILA, Philippines -- The charisma of Korean pop star Kim Hyun Joong among his Filipino fans was best exemplified by the presence of die-hards whose ages range from five to almost 75.
During the presscon held Thursday afternoon at the Mindoro Room of Edsa Shangri-La Hotel, the visiting international celebrity was greeted by a horde of reporters and fans who generally kept their cameras clicking while he answered queries from local media.
“Thank you for all the love you’re having toward me,” he told the audience.
One 74-year-old fan spoke to the occasion’s host and professed her admiration for the Korean actor-singer, even cracking a half-meant joke, “Lahat ng albums niya binili ko. Brief na lang niya ang di ko pa binibili!” she exclaimed.
Best known for being the leader of the K-pop boyband SS501 and playing “Ji Hoo” in the hit drama series “Boys Over Flowers,” Kim dropped by Manila to promote his debut solo album “Break Down” and attend the “High Five Touch” event at Trinoma, also last Thursday. His album is released by Polyeast Records.
He continued, “I was involved in all the processes of the album, from the lyrics to the jacket.”
The multi-talented matinee idol reiterated his focus on things he is good at. Singing and acting are of equal footing to him.
“If I’m on stage, my energy is burning every time I get in contact with the fans,” he pointed out.
When asked of his dream role as actor, he noted via the interpreter, “I want to play a character with full of charisma.”
The irony is, he need not role-play that since he himself is a very charismatic man on and off camera.
