This will be short and will just focus on our encounter with HJ at the airport on May 13, 2012.

The night of the fanmeet, we learned from Kat that HJ will be leaving for China the next day. And since his flight is just 25 minutes ahead of our flight back to Manila, there was really a slight possibility that we would see him at the airport. We were running quite late (we have to buy something back to those who knew we were going to HK and consume the HK$160 we had left) and by the time we (lyd, myself and Jha) finished in a store whose name I now can’t remember, it was almost boarding time for us (accdg to our pass its 745am). We went to the immigration entrance and said goodbye to Kat, MsD and Lucky who were waiting for HJ to board. We got in first and when we had our hand carries placed in a tray for scanning, we heard screams outside.

HJ and Co (Mr. Jeong and another assistant?) have arrived. When they got inside, they were on the exact opposite to where we were. We were on the left side facing the immigration counters while they were on the right. When we got out of the scanning area, they were already in the immigration counters. HJ was lead to another counter while we looked for the counter we were suppose to go to. It turned out that the visitor counter was just 2 counters away from where HJ was and we literally had to pass behind him to get to our queue. By the way, there were no other people around. I would like to think that it was divine intervention that at that moment, no one was there except us and them. Going back to the story, Lyd was the first one to go to the right counter while Jha and myself were queued up behind someone on the left. We were intently looking at HJ (Jha and I) when he turned toward us, we waved to him, he smiled meekly and waved back to us. Now you know why I said its divine intervention? Of course we could not scream and jump up and down although I think we were doing those things and more inside our minds. It was the first time when I could care less of what the immigration officer might say if ever. HJ was taking a lot of time at the counter so when I got out, Mr Jeong was already waiting for him and there were fans all around waiting for him as well. When he got out, we were just one of the many fans following him to the departure area. Our last encounter was during the train ride to the boarding gates. We were on the train with him. Period. When I was relating this story to a fan friend of mine, she asked, “How’s the air in the train with HJ inside?” Had to laugh at that. When it was time to get out the train, I literally went out the door with Mr. Jeong and HJ!. Mr. Joeng was between me and HJ. I was shouting at Lyd, “Lyd, dito sila sa tabi ko!” After that we took the escalators but seeing that it was slow and too many people queuing, they took the elevators.

As i was recalling what happened to us last May 13, there is one realization that hit me. He really appreciates and loves his fans so much. He had been to Taiwan since then, and now he’s in China and in all the fancams and pics over the internet, if possible, he will wave to all the fans that meet him, receive all their gifts (remember Jha’s fan acct to attest to this, and remember the fancam after he attended the wedding when he sneaked his hand behind him to receive a fan letter?) etc. But to those who have encountered him in a closer way like our immigration encounter and receiving Jha’s chips, it will always be engraved in our hearts that we have an idol who appreciates us whoever we are, wherever country we came from, and for that he will always have our love and support in whatever he does with his career and with his life in general…

A little sad that we wont get to see him in Korea next week, but who knows?

The End
