On January 3rd, MTV K released a list of 2011′s 10 most memorable music videos. The list is comprised of what was thought to be some of the most defining, interesting, and unique music videos released by K-pop artists last year.

The list featured artists who made their initial debut in 2011, newly formed sub-units, and artists who have recently gone solo. The first on the list was YG Entertainment’s Sub-unit of Big Bang GD&TOP, formed in 2010. They were listed for their unique style of music video that was produced for their 3rd single, “Knock Out.” The MV, released on January 3rd of last year, was said to be a combination of the duo’s unique tastes that created a completely new style.

Another artist who made it on to the list was JYP’s solo female artist, JOO, whose MV for her ballad single “Bad Guys” was said to be “underrated and deserved a 2nd watch.” JOO made her comeback in January 2011 with “Bad Guys” and released the MV on the 3rd of January. This MV was selected for its excellent quality in production and distinctive styling.

Among the variety of known artists whose MV’s were chosen, some new faces were also present, with the rookies of 2011, B1A4 and Huh Gak, making it on to the list. There were so many MV’s, comebacks, and debuts of new groups, sub-units, and solo artists last year that it was hard to pick only 10 MV’s out of them all. Below is the list of artists who made it onto the list.

1. GD&TOP – “Knock Out”
2. Girls’ Generation – “The Boys”
3. JYJ – “In Heaven”
4. Huh Gak – “Hello”
5. B1A4 – “Beautiful Target”
6. JOO – “Bad Guys”
7. 2PM – “Hands Up”
8. Big Bang – “Love Song”
9. Park Jung Min – “Not Alone”
10. 2NE1 – “Ugly”

What do you think of the 10 MV’s that were chosen? Is there another MV you would have substituted to go on the “10 Most Memorable MV’s of 2011″ list?
